Privacy Policy

BELM handles the processing of visitors’ personal data with the utmost care. Through this Privacy Statement, we provide you with insight into the policy we follow regarding the handling of personal information.

All website data is hosted on Dutch servers by an international company. The provider of our server park can be requested if desired.

General

In simple terms: We use your data solely for the purpose of our services. This means that the purpose of processing is always directly related to the task you provide. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us and we use this data to contact you at a later time – other than at your request – we explicitly ask for your permission. Your data will not be shared with third parties, except to meet accounting and other administrative obligations. These third parties are all bound to confidentiality based on the agreement between them and us or a statutory obligation or oath.

This Privacy Statement applies to all personal information collected or provided to us. “Personal information” means any type of information about an identified or identifiable natural person. You do not need to provide personal information to us before you can browse our website.

We collect personal information when:

  • You purchase a product or service;
  • You log in as a user to our systems;
  • You request support regarding a product;
  • You request information;
  • You participate in surveys;
  • You participate in promotions;
  • You contact us via email, Facebook, or Instagram.

The types of personal information that can be collected include:

  • Your first and last name;
  • The name of your organization;

  • Your email address;
  • Your phone number;
  • All information about you that we collect and store online in relation to your account, such as your username and password.

Your IP address is also registered. This happens, for example, when placing an order. An IP address is a unique identification tool that devices use to identify and communicate with each other on the internet.

BELM can use the collected information about you to operate the systems. They will only use information for the purpose for which you entered the information.

We may also use your personal information to communicate with you. We may send you certain mandatory service notices, such as notices related to your order.

MailChimp

We send our email newsletters using MailChimp. MailChimp will never use your name and email address for its own purposes. At the bottom of each email sent via our website, you will find the ‘unsubscribe’ link. You will no longer receive our newsletter. Your personal data is securely stored by MailChimp. MailChimp uses cookies and other internet technologies to track whether emails are opened and read. MailChimp reserves the right to use your data to further improve the service and share information with third parties for this purpose.

Mollie

For processing (part of) the payments in our web store, we use the Mollie platform. Mollie processes your name, address, and place of residence details, as well as your payment details, such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve the service and to share (anonymized) data with third parties for this purpose. All safeguards mentioned above with regard to the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of Mollie’s service for which they engage third parties. Mollie does not retain your data longer than allowed under statutory terms.

MyParcel

When you place an order with us, it is our responsibility to have your package delivered to you. We use the services of MyParcel to perform the deliveries. Therefore, it is necessary that we share your name, address, and place of residence details with MyParcel. MyParcel only uses this information to perform the agreement. In case MyParcel engages subcontractors, MyParcel also provides your data to these parties.

Office365

We use the services of Office365 for our regular business email traffic. This party has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss, and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. Office365 does not have access to our mailbox and we treat all our email traffic confidentially.

Google Analytics

Cookies are placed on our website by the American company Google as part of the “Analytics” service. We use this service to keep track of and obtain reports on how visitors use the website. This processor may be required to provide insight into this data on the basis of applicable laws and regulations. We collect information about your browsing behavior and share this data with Google. Google can interpret this information in conjunction with other datasets and track your movements on the internet in this way. Google uses this information to offer, among other things, targeted advertisements (Adwords) and other Google services and products.

Cooperation in tax and criminal investigations

In certain cases, BELM may be required, based on a legal obligation, to share your data in connection with tax or criminal investigations by government authorities. In such a case, we are forced to share your data, but within the possibilities provided by the law, we will oppose this.

Retention periods

We will retain your data as long as you have been a client of ours. This means that we will keep your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you inform us of this, we will also consider this as a request to be forgotten. Based on applicable administrative obligations, we are required to keep invoices with your (personal) data, so we will keep this data for as long as the applicable period runs. However, employees no longer have access to your client profile and documents that we have created based on your assignment.

Some pages of our websites may contain links to customer websites or third-party websites. We do not confirm and do not have control over the privacy activities or content of such websites. We recommend that you carefully read the privacy policy of each website you visit.

Consent and Agreement

By using this website, you indicate your agreement with the applicability of the terms of this Privacy Statement. If you do not agree with these terms, we request that you do not provide personal information to this website.

Changes to this Statement

When we change this statement, we will place the revised statement here, along with the date of the revision. When we make substantial changes to this statement, we will also place a warning on our homepage. Any changes will only apply from the date of revision.
