The best care for your BELM products.
Care advice
Use of washing machine not recommended!
To clean your BELM product, it is strongly advised not to use a washing machine. Using a washing machine will cause the product to lose its softness and 'airy' shape, shrink and change shape.
Hand wash
If you have a stain on your BELM product, the best way to clean it immediately is to run the stained area under cold water, and once the stain is gone, squeeze out all the water and let it dry on a flat surface. Turn the product over a few times during the drying process.
Refresh
If you need to renew your BELM product, it is advisable to air it first.
Protection
To best protect your BELM product from stains and from children or babies pulling on it, we recommend that you cover the product with a muslin cloth or sheet.
NB
The use of BELM products is at your own risk. Although you can breathe through the merino wool, it can be dangerous for your little one. As with all other blankets/nests from other stores, you should always stay with your child or check regularly that everything is still good. Never leave your child unattended when using the chunky knit baby/children's products.
This is what you can expect.
General Information
Material
Our products are made from 100% pure, unspun merino wool.
The merino wool comes from different countries in Europe. Our products are both animal and environmentally friendly. Our merino wool is organic and sustainably produced. The dyes used are commercial acid dyes that meet the Oeko-Tex 100 quality system.
Merino wool is exceptionally fine and consists of many thin fibres with remarkable properties.
The wool has a self-cleaning capacity due to the water-repellent fibre surface, which practically inhibits bacterial growth and unpleasant odours.
To issue
Shedding or pilling of wool is normal and occurs naturally when using wool products.
The wool consists of fibers of a certain length, and when shorter fibers start to move, they accumulate as pills on the surface. Completely normal! Of course, this also depends on how intensively you use this product. If pilling occurs: do not pull them out! You can easily shorten these pills if you want, and continue to enjoy this excellent product!
Pilling of the wool is normal and is NOT considered a product defect!
